Early Life and Education
Adam Rubinson was an accomplished soccer player while at high school and received several scholarship offers from other schools. Instead of accepting them though, he decided to walk-on for TCU’s golf team instead, playing two tournaments this year and earning respect among teammates and coaches with his exceptional ball striking skills.
Tori Rubinson of Tori Rubinson Interiors has always enjoyed living in Old Fort Worth with her husband Adam and three children. When decorating their home, Tori wanted to bring outdoor elements inside, using Farrow & Ball’s Pink Ground (No. 202) paint along with Turkish Oushak from The Rug Girl as well as outdoor-inspired decor pieces from Farrow & Ball and The Rug Girl and consulting her children about what was enjoyable for them – creating an enjoyable environment as much as functional one.
Adam Rubinson is an outstanding member of TCU Golf team. He has earned All-American accolades four consecutive years and finished second at NCAA Championships last spring, just one stroke shy of tournament champion. Additionally, Adam received honorable mention All-America recognition.
Montigel Rubinson, son of TCU men’s and women’s soccer coach David Rubinson, decided to walk-on rather than accept scholarship offers from Stanford or Oklahoma universities. Since joining, his TCU golf program has produced professional golfers including Tom Hoge (2011), Andrew Presley (2015) Paul Barjon (2003) and Colby Beckstrom (2002) as well as being nominated as finalist for the Ben Hogan Award in 2002 and 2003.
Achievement and Honors
Rubinson hails from Paschal, Texas and made the decision to walk on with TCU golf team despite scholarship offers from Stanford and Oklahoma. As one of Conference USA’s hottest players he finished as one of two runners up at NCAA Championships — only falling one stroke short of winning this event!
Rubinson was also honored with being inducted into TCU Block T Association Hall of Fame and, along with Tori, recently donated a $1 Million Endowment for an athletics scholarship named after Dana Bellenger (longtime volunteer assistant coach who passed away last November). This award will recognize those among Horned Frog golf program who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, athleticism and leadership.
Adam Rubinson is an award-winning sports star, having led TCU’s men’s golf team to second place finish at last year’s NCAA Championships and earning two All-American accolades himself.
Rubinson and Tori, two TCU alumni, have raised their three children in a home just blocks away from its main campus. Here they’ve created a living room designed for entertaining friends and family while their children’s bedrooms feature pink walls with fluffy Turkish Oushak pillows from The Rug Girl; bunk beds boast monogrammed bedding from Pottery Barn while matching striped baskets store superhero figurines, walkie-talkies and other toys.
