Adam Swick is an attorney specializing in international insolvency matters and regularly represents bankruptcy trustees, liquidators and creditors in international insolvency proceedings. As an authority on international bankruptcy issues and frequent speaker on global insolvency topics.
Swick opened up his own gym in Thailand and started coaching fighters while also making regular visits back stateside to American Kickboxing Academy – this is how his career flourished.
Early Life and Education
Swick’s mother Barbara Kohls of Fort Jennings, Ohio was a homemaker who retired from Kohls Dairy King after 21 years until 1967. Additionally she volunteered at St Rita’s Hospital as well as playing competitive bridge and tennis – as a member of Catholic Daughters of America as well as Lima American Legion Auxiliary – and one great-grandson, Silas Schmiedebusch; but was predeceased by both parents and four sisters: Helen Kohls, Virginia Kohls Edna Moenter, Irene Swick.
Adam Swick has an abundance of experience in bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation matters, representing clients such as Chapter 15 trustees/liquidators/class action plaintiffs as well as local business owners in cases. Furthermore, Adam has handled both domestic and international insolvency proceedings.
He received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and his Bachelors of Finance from Penn’s Wharton School, while founding Swick Capital, a crypto asset hedge fund.
As an amateur traveler and gourmet food lover, he loves exploring new restaurants. Based out of Seattle where he works as a chiropractor, he utilizes active release techniques, chiropractic adjustments, nutritional advice, and therapeutic exercises in treating his patients.
Adam enjoys spending his free time with Tiffani and their two daughters, weight training, traveling, and discovering new restaurants.
He has been involved with various successful business endeavors and currently serves as the director of strategic finance at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange. Prior to Kraken Digital Asset Exchange, he held roles at Pritzker Group Venture Capital in Chicago where he evaluated early stage investment opportunities and Boston Consulting Group where he advised Fortune 500 clients in industries including healthcare, consumer goods and IT.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Swick, as well as an extended network of family and friends. He will be greatly missed; donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society in lieu of sending flowers.
Swick is an experienced investor, startup operator, and management consultant. He obtained his MBA with honors from Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania before working with Boston Consulting Group as a consultant in Chicago – consulting for various Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, consumer goods, and IT industries.
Before joining Marathon Digital, Swick was the director of strategic finance at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange where he was responsible for evaluating and overseeing all financing opportunities available to the company as well as managing their balance sheet, debt program, investor relations activities, and forecasting processes.
Outside of work, Swick enjoys weight training and traveling the world with his wife Tiffani. Both he and Tiffani are active members in their community, supporting local charities.
