Adam has advised on numerous notable transactions including Energizer’s acquisition of Spectrum Battery Business from Proctor & Gamble; Lorillard’s sale to Reynolds American; Post’s purchase of Michael Foods from Wm Wrigley Jr;s sale to Mars; Ralcorp Holdings sale to ConAgra; Smithfield sale to Shanghui International and Kellogg’s acquisition of Pringles from Proctor and Gamble among others.

Early Life and Education

Adam Taetle hails from Wisconsin where he earned a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before attending Penn’s Wharton School for Business to earn an MBA. He joined Evercore in April as head of its consumer retail group and is currently based out of New York. He has more than two decades of experience advising clients in high profile transactions such as the pending acquisition by Energizer of Spectrum Battery Business, Lorillard’s sale to Reynolds American and Post Holdings’ acquisition of Michael Foods from Wm. Smucker Co. Evercore served as lead advisor on Wrigley Jr.’s sale to Mars, Ralcorp Holdings’ sale to ConAgra Foods and Smithfield Foods’ sale to Shanghui International Holdings among many others. Prior to Evercore he co-headed Barclays’ global consumer retail group.

Personal Life

Adam Taetle is an expert in consumer retail, having advised on numerous notable transactions throughout his career. Most recently he co-headed Barclays Global Consumer Retail Group; prior to that he worked at Goldman Sachs & Company. Adam joined Evercore in April 2018 based out of New York as senior managing director overseeing their consumer retail practice.

He graduated with his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Masters of Business Administration from Penn’s Wharton School, while serving in the United States Army Reserves as a military officer.
