Ram Dass was a spiritual leader known for experimenting with drugs and traveling to India in search of spiritual awakening. At 88 years old he passed away peacefully in Hawaii after writing the book ‘Be Here Now” and founding Love Serve Remember Foundation.
Professional Career
Adam Tope is a partner in DLA Piper’s New York Finance practice. He possesses extensive experience advising private equity, infrastructure, venture capital, real estate and hedge fund sponsors in forming investment funds, managed accounts and co-investment vehicles. Adam was instrumental in expanding DLA Piper’s US secondaries practice with numerous GP-led restructurings, tender offers and stapled secondaries transactions completed for clients of Hogan Lovells prior to joining DLA Piper; prior to that he served as head of New York fund formation and regulatory practices at Hogan Lovells prior to DLA; Adam earned both degrees – receiving his J.D from Georgetown University Law Center with distinction before graduating Cornell University before moving onto DLA Piper.
