A$AP Rocky, Rihanna, Zak Foster, and Zak Foster Host the MET Gala

Earlier this week, A$AP Rocky, Zak Foster, and Rihanna hosted a gala at the Staples Center in LA to benefit charity. It was the first time that they had all been together in public since their debut. The event was a huge success. It was one of the biggest nights in A$AP’s career and it was a night that people will remember for a long time to come.

MET Gala is the most high profile event for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. It’s the first time the two stars have hit the red carpet together. They’ve been romantically tied since January 2020.

This year’s Met Gala was themed “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. It was a star-studded affair, with everyone from Billie Eilish to Kendall Jenner making their presence felt.

One of the most striking looks of the night was the quilt. A quilt is a complex garment made from numerous layers of fabric sewn together to form a quilted amorphous shape. It can take anywhere from forty to fifty hours to complete.

A$AP Rocky’s MET Gala outfit was an interesting combination of antique quilts, scraps of fabric, and personal effects. It was made by Brooklyn-based quilter Zak Foster. He was given six days to create the outfit.

The quilt was actually the star of the show, but it was not the only gimmick in the outfit. The quilt was also accompanied by the aforementioned cape, which was a cleverly designed ERL SPRING 2022 cape inspired by Rihanna.

Rihanna

Throughout their long friendship, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been spotted together. They have been photographed holding hands on numerous occasions in New York City. They also have been seen on vacation together in Barbados. Their close relationship is often the topic of discussion among fans.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have had a number of performances together. In 2012, the duo performed “Cockiness (Love It)” together at the MTV Video Music Awards. They also collaborated on the track “Fashion Killa”. In an interview with GQ in 2021, A$AP Rocky called Rihanna “the love of my life.” They also appeared on the cover of Vogue.

Rihanna and A$AP are reportedly “inseparable.” They have been spotted together on numerous occasions, including vacations and dates. They have also been spotted wearing matching outfits and holding hands.

They also attended Rihanna’s annual Diamond Ball, a fundraiser for her Clara Lionel Foundation. This foundation funds education and natural disaster response programs in the Caribbean. The foundation is named after Rihanna’s grandparents. They are also known for their support of climate justice initiatives. They are expected to welcome their first child together in 2022.

Zak Foster

Taking a cue from Eli Russel Linnetz, the tinker toy of the design world, Brooklyn-based quilter Zak Foster had the chance to prove he had more than a handful of balls in a glass. His quilt was a hit on the red carpet, making it the first of its kind at the prestigious gala. The design was also a winner at the swagfest, with the adorably attired singer and his entourage strutting their stuff.

Foster’s quilt-making tacks is a bit smaller than your average bedroom, but he’s made a plethora of wacky creations in the past. His oeuvre includes a pair of full-body throw afghans, as well as a few smaller items. The biggest challenge was getting the quilt to look good on the red carpet, a feat that he accomplished with a little finesse.

The quilt itself took Foster and his team a bit more than six days to complete. The fabric was a mix of modern and vintage pieces, and the swag was certainly awe-inspiring.

A$AP Rocky’s quilt

During the 2021 Met Gala, A$AP Rocky wore a quilt-style cape. The cape was made from a quilt that Linnetz found in a thrift store. Linnetz worked with a Brooklyn-based quilter, Zak Foster, who added personal touches to the quilt. Linnetz explained to the Guardian that Rocky gravitated to the quilt.

Linnetz is a well-known artist and a fashion designer who is based in Venice Beach, California. His creations are known for being “unlike anything that has come before it.” He was also featured in the Met Costume Institute’s In America: A Lexicon of Fashion exhibition. In 2022, Linnetz launched his eponymous label, ERL. Linnetz was commissioned by A$AP Rocky to create a look for his SS22 collection. He said his inspiration was a quilt he found at a thrift store. He used the quilt as inspiration for Rocky’s cape, which is a cape modeled after a cloak. Linnetz added touches to the quilt to encapsulate the Met Gala theme.
