Reynolds was named for Benjamin Reynolds, an early businessman from White County with a vision for its development as a railroad town. White County opened their first rail line through Reynolds in 1854 and it quickly helped propel growth of this small community – becoming an important trading center as well as being used to transport President Lincoln’s body after his assassination.
Reynolds joined Wake Forest as their football sports performance coordinator in February 2022, having previously served as assistant football coach at Kennesaw State and sports performance director at Emory University and James Madison respectively.
Personal Life
Ben Reynolds enjoys spending his free time with family and friends – especially children – especially playing sports and watching college football. Ben is proud to be part of both the Medical Society of Virginia and Northern Virginia Pediatric Society as well as South Riding Pediatrics where he takes great pride in his work.
He has over 10 years of experience managing Educational Kit Operations, having begun at Newton Learning with warehouse operations from scratch and overseeing every aspect of Activate Learning’s kit operation from overseas importation through to end-user delivery and customer service. Additionally, he has designed numerous kits and products for Activate Learning including Active Science and IQWST curriculum development.
He was serving in Iraq when an IED struck and caused shrapnel injuries that left him permanently disabled. Through the Boot Campaign’s Homes 4 Heroes program, they recently received a mortgage-free home.
