Big Rapids Trick Or Treat 2021 and Other Halloween Events in Grand Rapids

There are plenty of fun things to do in Grand Rapids on Halloween. You can dress up, trick-or-treat, go to a pumpkin patch or even a haunted house! In fact, there are so many different activities in the area, that it’s hard to know where to start. The great thing about Halloween is that it’s not just one day, but a weeklong event!

Among the most popular events this year are the Big Rapids Trick or Treat 2021 and the BRCL Fall Festival. During the two-day event, you’ll be able to enjoy a variety of fun, free activities. Whether you’re looking for a lollipop pull or a spooky cauldron, there’s something for every kid in your family.

The BRCL Fall Festival takes place at the Big Rapids Community Library. On October 30, you’ll be able to participate in a fall festival complete with a lollipop pull, a pumpkin patch, a craft show, and more. At the end of the evening, you’ll also be able to take home some fun loot. This event is a fundraiser for the United Way.

Other trick-or-treating activities are scheduled throughout the city. Typically, trick-or-treating begins in the morning and goes through the evening. Some neighborhoods close earlier on Halloween because of school schedules. However, there are several that stay open through the night. Especially in the downtown area, where there are many retailers. Aside from candy, you can find treats, live music, and even roasted chestnuts on a fire.

If you’re looking for a bigger, more spooky experience, you can check out the Halloween Bash at the Market. Held at the Fulton Street Market, this event features live music and local artists, as well as all kinds of eerie and magical fun. Besides trick-or-treating, you’ll be able to purchase some spooky t-shirts, jewelry, and a lot more. It’s a really exciting Halloween event that you don’t want to miss.

The Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center will also host a Halloween-themed event. On October 31, the center will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. For the full experience, you can also visit the museum’s haunted house from 6 to 8 p.m.

For more Halloween fun, you can also head over to the John Ball Zoo for their annual Zoo Goes Boo. Also, you should check out the “Scream Around the World” event on the north campus quad. And finally, you can take a ride on the riotous Great Pumpkin Train. While you’re in the area, don’t forget to drop by the Blandford Nature Center for a whole host of eerie and spooky delights.

You can also participate in the Big Rapids DBA Fall Festival Family Day on Saturday, October 30. This event is designed to be family friendly, and includes activities such as a scavenger hunt, celebrity pumpkin roll, and truck or treat. Several area businesses are donating free goods, such as candy and other items, so come prepared!

As for trick-or-treating, it’s recommended to get out early if you have younger kids. However, older kids should be able to enjoy the night. To help ensure a safe and fun trick-or-treat, make sure to bring a glow stick.
