Daniel has performed as a soloist across Canada, the US and Israel and founded Renaissance String Quartet. Daniel Haas took first prize at the 2016 Stulberg International String Competition held in Kalamazoo, US and also won a bursary from Canada Council for the Arts/NYO Canada to recognize outstanding young Canadian classical musicians.

Personal Life
Daniel graduated from Denfeld High School in 1979 and worked in printing and journalism. He served as writer/photographer for local newspaper The Criterion as well as camera work for KDLH-TV. Daniel was actively involved in Bnei Akiva as well as volunteering his services at summer camps as counselor. An avid reader who loved genealogy research; Daniel left behind 10 nieces and nephews.
Daniel Hass has been commissioned as a composer by organizations including the Glenn Gould Foundation, Revolve Dance Project and Tribeca New Music. He won first prize gold at Stulberg International String Competition as well as being awarded Canada Council for the Arts’ Michael Measures Prize.
