Daniel Hesketh, 38, of Red Lion Borough, Pennsylvania, Has Passed Away
Daniel Hesketh, 38, left his Red Lion Borough residence around 10 pm Friday and was last seen around noon Saturday in Colerain Township near Pittsburgh, according to state police. His white 2008 Volkswagen Jetta with Pennsylvania registration LFZ 8544 had damage on the driver side as well as one front tire replaced with a spare.
Early Life and Education
Daniel Hesketh of York, Pennsylvania attended Dallastown Area High School before enrolling at York County School of Technology’s Adult Ed Program where he later graduated with a certificate in auto technology.
Hesketh’s compositions span an impressive variety of genres and forms, from orchestral to chamber and vocal works, and music for symphonic wind band to seasonal compositions for choir.
Hesketh’s work has been recorded by BIS, NMC and London Sinfonietta labels; additionally he has been commissioned to compose music for dance and ballet by companies such as Phoenix Dance Theatre and ensemble Psappha for premier in 2013. NMC released an orchestral portrait disc titled Wunderkammer(konzert). to great acclaim in February 2013.
Professional Career
Hesketh’s time at Southampton finally came to an end this summer when he was released after 17 years, yet he left without regret or bitterness over what the club had taught him. Instead he looked back with gratitude on all they had taught him and departed in good spirit.
Hesketh had been part of Ronald Koeman’s first-team squad on occasion, but when new manager Roberto Di Matteo took charge he made his senior debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford in September 2017. It was an exciting milestone in Hesketh’s life who admits there had been five times when they felt his career may end before it even got started.
He spent the following two seasons outwith St Mary’s, first at MK Dons and later Lincoln City before making a brief return to League One with Crawley Town.

Hesketh has earned numerous national and international commissions, his music regularly performed across London, the USA and Europe. He’s collaborated with leading conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Oliver Knussen and Vasilly Sinaisky; additionally teaching at Summer Academy of the Ionian University (Greece), Central Conservatory of Music Beijing and Bowdoin International Music Festivals.
Julia Chamberlain from Chelmsford was honored as Nashoba Tech student of the month by cross-country coach Bruce Sullivan for her athletic achievements during October. Chamberlain graduated as an honors Health Assisting program senior.
Charlotte Michaud of East Granby was recently honored with being honored on the University’s Dean’s List for fall 2022. This list recognizes students who earned an overall grade point average of 3.75 or above on a 4-point scale.
Personal Life
He was also an extremely devoted family man, taking great joy in spending time with friends and loved ones. A passionate Philadelphia Eagles supporter, he also enjoyed music – you may have even caught him breaking some moves at times!
