Dan Sanner – Investing in Archer Daniels Midland Co
Dan Sanner was 22 when he found himself running his first company after graduating Dartmouth and thousands of miles from home. Now a partner at Alpine Investors, the Dartmouth graduate has progressed quickly from sourcing and investing to finance, transaction execution, M&A.
Alpine has appointed him to oversee their sourcing team and co-lead their business services and online investing teams, among others. Since 2002 – aside from a two year stint working on behalf of a Hong Kong family office – he has been with Alpine.
As well as his work with Alpine, Sanner is a veteran private equity investor with an impressive track record of successful investments and returns. His expertise lies in conducting control leverage buyout transactions as well as operating businesses within the software and business services sectors.
He currently is a partner at Alpine and oversees their sourcing team as well as co-leading their business services and online investing teams. Since 2009, he has made over six trades of Archer Daniels Midland Company stock.
He is married and is father to a daughter named Riley Bee Sanner. Additionally, he serves as Director for Nexus Global Youth Summit’s Sports for Good Lab – working to leverage sports for sustainability and social justice projects through sports-based projects.
His personal life consists of many friends and family. These include sister Judith Bernosky, brother-in-law Richard Woodberry and numerous nieces and nephews. He currently resides in Saegertown, PA with his wife. Additionally, he supports Sacramento Republic FC as they defeated Vancouver Whitecaps during the 2013 Major League Soccer Cup Playoffs – winning their match-up.
