A North Pole Man Arrested on Murder Charges in the Shooting Deaths of Two Men at a Drug Rehabilitation Center
Daniel Serkov, 33 years old from North Pole has been charged with murdering two individuals at a rehabilitation center in Delta Junction last week. According to the Department of Law, Daniel fired into Andrey Dorozhin and Dmitry Sergiyenko’s chests before shooting them both dead.

Criminal documents allege that Serkov, who resided at Alaska Rehabilitation Center Inc. to break his drug addiction, told investigators that when 44-year-old Andrey Dorozhin and 35-year-old Dmitriy Sergiyenko approached his residence demanding prescription drugs and cigarettes be turned over, he shot both men with his 9mm handgun before taking them outside and placing the spent shell casings from that scene into his jacket pocket before driving them both directly to South Cushman Gun Range and Costco where he sold his jacket with those spent shell casings still inside it to another couple.

After shooting his gun, he drove back to Fairbanks and shot off rounds at South Cushman Gun Range before selling his jacket, which still contained spent shell casings from the killing, to a couple who were shopping at Costco.
According to a criminal complaint, he informed police that he had murdered two men at a rehab facility as they attempted to steal prescription medications and cigarettes from him. To cover up his crime he developed an elaborate scheme, including cleaning and selling his murder weapon.

Three days after two men were found shot to death at a Delta Junction home, 33-year-old North Pole resident Daniel Serkov was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one of tampering with evidence and criminal mischief. Officers received information regarding this homicide from Alaska Rehabilitation Center Inc.’s rehabilitation program that provides free drug, alcohol, gambling and pornographic rehabilitation for men. He was taken into custody on Friday and taken to Fairbanks Correctional Center pending trial.
The complaint alleges that shortly after AST was informed of Serkov’s deaths, he appeared at a local police station claiming he had shot a dog in Delta; upon further interrogation by investigators they determined he had murdered both victims in a double homicide.
Daniel Serkov is currently being held in Fairbanks Correctional Center on $2 Million bail after being charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

He informed investigators that he believed they intended harm or theft of his medication; thus shooting both of them.

According to the criminal complaint, Daniel Serkov shot and killed Andrey Dorozhin and Dmitry Sergiyenko with a 9 mm handgun after they confronted him at Alaska Rehabilitation Center Inc. facility with intentions of taking away his prescription medications. He stated this happened due to their behavior at that location.
SSG K asserts that Serkov falsified his net worth figures on K-1 forms from 1997-2001 in order to inflate calculations under Addendum and secure himself higher payments. They further allege he destroyed evidence in an effort to cover up this crime.
