Volkers was raised in Faulk County and attended its high school before going on to study business and accounting at the University of Minnesota, eventually graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Prior to this appointment, Nault served as executive vice president of sales and leasing at Groupe Heafey.

Volker has received multiple accolades over his long and distinguished career for his contributions in real estate and film, most recently being named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People for 2022.

As well as his professional life, he is involved in various charitable efforts. These have included raising money to build schools in Africa as well as providing support to veterans organizations.
