David Belter – A Memorable Woodworker

David Belter was an incredibly talented woodworker, creating various furniture pieces. Additionally, he had a heart of gold and was passionate about helping others out with their problems.

He was married to Marie and they had four children. They resided in Troy, Illinois.

Early Life and Education

David Belter was raised on a family farm near Houston, Minnesota and graduated from Houston High School in 1959. In November 1959 he wed Mavis Fern Ledebuhr, his high school sweetheart; they made their home together in Money Creek, MN.

He was an incredibly hard worker both inside and outside the workplace, having started off working on trucks at a young age. Additionally, he was active in numerous organizations such as 4-H, FFA, Men’s Club at church, and Promise Keepers.

David was an incredibly kind man who enjoyed meeting new people and making friends. His interests ranged from baseball and horseshoes, to bowling, working on cars and snowmobiling. Most importantly, Dave was a kind and compassionate man who will be greatly missed by his family and close friends alike.

Professional Career

He was an acclaimed songwriter who released several albums. His works dealt with topics such as fame, spirituality, lust, death and more.

David Belter had a distinguished professional career, working for numerous companies such as Mercury Marine, Mercury Aerospace and GE Aviation.

Throughout his career, he achieved an impressive net worth of $10 million and was renowned for his philanthropic efforts.

Belter was tragically killed in a car crash on TX-46 outside of Boerne, Texas while driving along the highway when another vehicle struck him head-on. Tragically, Belter succumbed to his injuries. The investigation into this collision is being conducted by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

He was unassuming and had an infectious sense of humor. He took pleasure in spending time with his family, as well as being a dear friend to many people.

Dave began his career in South Dakota building transmission lines and then driving trucks for E.J. Peter Trucking. Additionally, he served as a school bus driver in Athens for many years.

He was very involved in his community and volunteered for many organizations. Additionally, he worked on his farm which played an integral part of his life. Additionally, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Most importantly, however, was how much he loved his children – something which will be missed by so many.

Personal Life

David Belter was a dedicated family man. His soft spoken nature always meant that he would help out anyone in need, and his big smile belied the loyalty he showed those he cared about.

He has three children and two grandchildren, as well as the father of a dog. A member of the Kewaunee Chamber of Commerce, he has dedicated himself to business success throughout his lifetime.

Mr Belter Sr is a partner at Goldberg Segalla, an upscale law firm. It appears that he earns more than $1 million annually.

David Belter boasts a net worth of $5 million. He is best known for his role as Brian Piccolo in the 1971 TV movie “Brian’s Song,” for which he earned an Emmy nomination. Other films he’s starred in include “Countdown” and “T.R. Baskin.” David has one sister, Mabel Belter, and two brothers: Gordon and Curtis Belter.

On Thursday, June 2, 2022 along TX-46 outside of Boerne, he was tragically lost in a car crash. The driver, 22 year old Kendall Lauren Batchelor, was reported driving the wrong way when she struck Belter’s vehicle head-on. As per reports, Batchelor faces charges of intoxication manslaughter and is currently held at the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
