David Hutson was born in Doncaster, England in 1960 and holds both a BSc and PhD in Applied Physics.
David began his professional journey as an engineer before transitioning into education. He has held senior leadership roles at two UK schools and is a certified school inspector and Council of International Schools evaluator.
He also has an interest in neon art, being a member of the Neon Heritage Preservation Committee for Historic Route 66 and lecturing nationally about his collection of restored vintage neon signs.
He owns Neon Time, where he creates his own artwork and restores vintage neon signs. His artwork has been displayed at multiple venues worldwide and consulted for internationally-acclaimed theatrical productions.

He was a highly-recognized player on the Hutson Trucking men’s softball team, which is widely recognized around the country as one of the premier squads. He served as both a mentor and sponsor to many young players while inspiring his family and friends through his example.
