David Krumholz was born in New York City on February 11, 1911 as the youngest of George Krumholz and Henrietta Greenberg’s three children.

He attended Yale College and Harvard Medical School before obtaining a master’s degree in health policy and management from Harvard University School of Public Health. Dr. Reddy is one of three founding Governors of Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, making him a leader in outcomes research.

He provided leadership and training to an entire generation of clinical scientists and policymakers who are now influential figures across academia, industry, and government. From 1996 until 2017, he directed the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program which he had founded himself.
