Fatal Car Accident in West Palm Beach Today
In Palm Beach County, Florida, there was a fatal car accident today. A woman driving a sedan went through a red light and struck a car heading west on Forest Hill Boulevard. The first car crashed into the side of second car, which then hit a traffic signpost. The first vehicle’s driver was a Stuart resident, while the passenger was a Puerto Rican.
Two motorists were killed in a fatal car accident on S. State Road in West Palm Beach this morning. The driver of the Toyota Sequoia lost control of her vehicle and collided with another vehicle. Police believe the driver was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred. A 17-year-old boy was also arrested and has been released from the hospital.
According to police, the driver of the other vehicle wasn’t at fault for the accident. The driver was cited as careless driving. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was speeding, changing lanes and driving recklessly. The driver of a Lyft in Lake Worth sustained minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation revealed that neither the driver nor the passenger of the Mustang were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The child was not hurt. The PBSO says that alcohol and drugs may have been involved in the crash.
