Early Life and Education
George Helo received his early education in mathematics from his father John Boole. Additionally, John Boole taught him how to craft optical instruments.
However, his family wasn’t financially secure and George had to work in order to finance his education. He briefly attended a school for tradesmen’s children before enrolling in a commercial academy run by an old friend of his dad’s.
After some time, George developed an interest in languages. He learned Latin and then Greek, becoming so proficient that by the age of 14 he had translated a poem by Greek poet Meleager into English – much to his father’s delight who even had it published! This talent later enabled George to open his own school.
George is a consultant with Spencer Stuart in the Financial Services and Private Equity practices. He conducts searches for senior investment professionals, corporate executives and board directors throughout the financial services sector as well as providing advice on CEO succession planning and leadership needs.
George has over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector, having held positions such as research, funds management and corporate finance with both institutional and retail or high-net-worth clients. He holds a BA from Queen Mary University of London and is a CFA Charter holder; he’s also part of AAIG and Domacom Limited, which are both RG146 compliant. George currently resides in Oreland PA at 71 years old with an estimated net worth of $1 Million dollars.
