George Venizelos was one of the greatest leaders in modern Greek history and one who garnered widespread respect and admiration. A master of political mastery and liberal democracy, he was both a pragmatist and visionary.

Eleftherios Venizelos, a renowned Greek statesman born in 1864 on Crete and educated at the University of Athens, served as Prime Minister of Greece and leader of the Liberal Party from 1917 until his passing away in 1948.

In November 2006, he was appointed to head the Administrative Division of the New York Field Office, responsible for all FBI programs in New York City, Long Island and surrounding counties. Additionally, he served as acting assistant director in charge of that division from March 1-August 9, 2010.
