HoYeon Jung – A List of 100 Rising Leaders

There are plenty of great reasons to be excited about South Korean model, actress, singer and songwriter HoYeon Jung. She is most known for her role in the popular Netflix drama Squid Game, and was also named to Time magazine’s list of 100 rising leaders.

As a model, HoYeon Jung has worked with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Chanel, Givenchy, Bottega Veneta, Max Mara, Marc Jacobs, Alberta Ferretti, Rag & Bone, and many others. She has also been featured in fashion campaigns for Sephora, Adidas, Nike, and many other brands.

Her career started at a very young age, when she was just a teenager and modeled independently for Seoul Fashion Week. When she was sixteen, she signed with ESteem Models, a Korean modeling agency. She has since been working with several top modeling agencies in the industry, such as Nomad Management and Elite World Group. She is the first Asian solo cover model for US Vogue.

She was nominated for an Emmy award for her role in Squid Game. In the show, Jung plays a North Korean defector named Kang Sae-byeok. In the episode, HoYeon enters the Game to rescue her family. She is eventually eliminated. However, it’s not the end of her story. She returns in the fifth episode.

In addition to her acting work, HoYeon is also the face of Louis Vuitton’s Twist Bag Fall 2022 campaign. She walked the runway for the brand’s Fall/Winter 2022 show at Paris Fashion Week. In the campaign, she wore a printed crop top and metallic gold pants. She paired them with a glittering braided chain. She wore a traditional Korean hair tie, too. She wore deep eye bags.

She has also been named as a global house ambassador for Louis Vuitton. As a result, she has been seen wearing the brand’s items to various public events. She has been credited with popularizing the curtain bangs look. She wears a symmetrical face, and has narrow eyes and a short v-line jaw.

During her modelling days, Jung made her way to the top 30 of Korea’s Next Top Model. She was eliminated in the third episode, but returned in the fifth episode. She was also selected as the runner up of the competition. After that, she made it into the top thirty and landed a contract with a modeling agency. In October 2021, the company announced that HoYeon would become its global house ambassador for fashion.

The following year, she was selected by Louis Vuitton to represent the brand worldwide. She also walked the runway for New York Fashion Week. Her comeback to the runway came just in time for the Fall/Winter 2022 season. She posed on the front cover of US Vogue’s February issue.

Her latest role is in the upcoming A24 film “The Governesses.” The film, which is directed by Joe Talbot, features HoYeon. She co-stars with Lily-Rose Depp, Renate Reinsve, and Oneohtrix Point Never.

HoYeon is known for her edgy style. She has a distinctive facial feature that gives her an intimidating aura, especially when she is not smiling.
