Early Life and Education
Jack Dragum earned All-Metro and All-State recognition during both of his years at Hanover High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia. As their team’s starting pitcher – helping the Hawks win 2016 State Title. Jack earned four Varsity letters during this time at Hanover.
UVA commit, Jaden Smith struck out twelve Eastern View batters while only allowing three hits during his complete-game victory. Jack was the most valuable player on the field. His batting average was over.300 and he hit multiple doubles and homers. Additionally, his speed is outstanding and his throwing arm powerful.
ODU boasts an impressive roster despite their loss. Will Butcher and Austin Knight were two of the strongest returning hitters from last season, while Jack Dragum boasts an impressive +.300 batting average over his three seasons with ODU – all players that should help position them to compete for conference crown this year.

Jack Dragum has been an integral member of Hanover Baseball since he was young. Growing up alongside high schoolers at practice and fielding ground balls and swatting flies alongside them, Jack’s hard work paid off in 2017 when he earned a place on the C-USA All-Tournament Team alongside teammates Brandon Stahlman, Cam Fisher, Paxton Thompson – making this Charlotte’s highest ever All-Tournament selections ever.

Will Butcher hit a three-run homer and Jack Dragum provided the game-winning run with a single as Charlotte edged Clemson 3-2 in an elimination game at Clemson Regional on Sunday. Charlotte will next take on No. 2 Tennessee later on the day in order to advance further and reach Super Regional play-in round.
