Early Life and Education
Geddes was a fierce child athlete from Long Island, New York who excelled at any game with a ball. Twice she broke her ankle running into the same hole at Fifth Avenue Elementary School playgrounds.
She started golfing after moving with her family to Charleston, South Carolina around the same time Beth Daniel was making headlines with her double win at the U.S. Women’s Open. When meeting their instructor for lessons, her mother suggested it would be worth giving it a try and so began her golf journey in 1976.
From 1983 to 2003, Geddes competed on the LPGA Tour, winning 11 events including two major titles. After her playing career ended, she co-founded an Internet e-commerce company and earned her degree in criminology and law – at which point her and Gigi became parents to two children together.
