Early Life and Education

John Benefiel was born in Greenville, Washington County, Oregon. He was the son of James R. and Sarah Page Benefiel.

He and his wife, Judith, founded Church on the Rock – Oklahoma City in 1991. Their God-Given vision is to see all of Oklahoma and the Home of the Red Man saved and transformed by the love and power of God.

He was educated at Greenville and Forest Grove schools and later went to Coffeyville High School where he served as president of the class of 1899-1910. In 1911 he was elected collector in the water and light department and has offices in the city hall. He is also a member of the Masonic society, belonging to Keystone Lodge No. 102, Free and Accepted Masons. He is a chancellor commander of the local lodge.

He also has a passion for working on projects that uplift stories that raise consciousness in society.

John Benefiel is the founder and senior pastor of Church on the Rock – Oklahoma City. He and his wife, Judith, are passionate about the Kingdom of God and serving all of Oklahoma.

A graduate of Texas A&M University San Antonio with Honors, he specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Co-Occurring disorders (Mental Health and Substance Abuse). He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas.

He is also the First Vice President of HAPN, an apostolic network of over 6,000 churches worldwide. Throughout his career, he has been honored with numerous awards and scholarships. His leadership has been a catalyst for the growth and success of HAPN. He is a powerful voice of the Kingdom of God and has led the way in prophetic strategy to advance the cause of Christ.

Personal Life

John Benefiel was a dedicated Christian who truly loved Jesus. He showed his love and compassion to all those he met.

He was a well-known politician in Kansas who served as a member of the state legislature. He was also an advocate of religious freedom and helped to shape legislation that supported the Bible.

John Benefiel has performed “divorce decrees” across the country in an effort to remove a demonic hold on a particular region. According to him, Baal is the ruler of demons who controls not only North America but much of the world. In 2007, Benefiel performed these decrees in Missouri, Texas and Kansas, where he says the results were immediate. He also has helped to restore the water supply in parts of his home state, including areas that have experienced drought and flooding in the past.
