Early Life and Education
As an ordained Evangelical pastor, John Ensor has led the pro-life movement for over 30 years. He has also trained Christian leaders in biblical bioethics and pregnancy crisis intervention in countries ravaged by abortion.
His passion for life has inspired him to invest in education, both his own and the students he mentors. He strives to help his students build a robust faith that can stand the test of time.
Born near Johnson City, Tennessee, Dr. Ensor was a pioneer of both Washington and Carter counties. He was well-known for his uprightness and he established a large practice at Bristol.
Professional Career
john ensor is an ordained Evangelical pastor, author, and colaborer who leads in the pro-life movement. He is also a full-time lecturer in marketing at Napier University Business School, Edinburgh. He holds an MBA from Cranfield Business School and is a fellow of the Institute of Marketing. He is the author of numerous scholarly articles and a popular textbook, which was named as one of the best in its category by a panel of academics and industry experts. He and his wife live in Roswell, Georgia with their three children. They are avid readers and travel enthusiasts.
Achievements and Honors
As the former executive director of the Voice of America, he oversaw a flurry of activity including the creation of a daily Russian language TV show and a partnership with the BBC to fight Ebola in West Africa. His tenure at VOA was also marked by a couple of high-profile security breaches and one of the biggest budgetary shortfalls in the organization’s history.
Ensor was a decorated Air Force pilot who flew the RC-135 and T-38, among other aircraft. He was also the recipient of several awards and accolades, including a trip to the White House for his achievements in combat aviation. He was a true blue alumnus of Loyola College and the University of Maryland, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He also completed The General Manager Program at Harvard Business School and an executive marketing strategy program at UCLA.

He is also the author of Pregnancy Crisis Intervention: What to Do and Say When It Matters Most. In this 37-minute conversation, he shares what he’s learned about helping people navigate unplanned pregnancies, especially when they are facing an abortion.
His earliest paintings were Realist and Impressionist, but in the mid-1880s he began to produce idiosyncratic works of art, adopting subjects associated with Northern Renaissance and Baroque artists such as Bosch, Bruegel, Rembrandt, and Rubens. One of his most famous paintings, Christ’s Entry into Brussels, depicts a huge crowd of masked figures. It is often interpreted as a satire on the art world and on Belgian social reformers.
