John Kincart was born in Jacksonville and attended Lakeland High School before heading off to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. However, due to eyesight issues and financial concerns, his dream of becoming an airline pilot never materialized. Instead, he worked at A-C-T’s field offices before founding their Bartow construction company nearly ten years ago with his brother Steve; which provides full commercial and industrial services.
He volunteers his time to various organizations such as Polk State College’s Corporate College and the Bartow Chamber of Commerce. Married to three children, he still finds time for playing the cello. Survived by his partner Marie; wife Elaine; sons Brianna and Conor Kincart, Nicole and Kimberly Dallar, Laurel and Mike Abdo, Sean and Suzanne Millette; as well as brother Felix Pidala.
Professional Career
John Kincart has been a full-time real estate professional for three decades. An expert in site planning and development, construction, sales, appraisals and marketing, his expertise led to him founding and co-owning Kincart Associates – which included listing and selling Yorktown’s most successful single family home as well as many other notable achievements. Most recently he announced his affiliation with Houlihan Lawrence – Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties’ largest independently owned residential real estate brokerage firm – leading to nine agents from Kincart Associates joining their ranks.

Kincart has had a successful real estate career for more than 25 years. As co-owner of Kincart Associates, an industry expert in sales, appraisals and new development marketing, his work includes Stonefield Farm in Cortlandt Manor and Dorchester Heights in Yorktown as well as numerous smaller developments throughout Westchester and Putnam Counties.
Kincart has achieved professional success while simultaneously being a dedicated father and husband, volunteering his time as board member for organizations such as Polk State College’s Corporate College and Bartow Chamber of Commerce. When not playing cello, he enjoys relaxing with an excellent work-life balance! As such, Kincart was recognized by REAL Trends America’s Best Real Estate Agents magazine as one of America’s most productive sales associates.
Personal Life
John Kincart was an exemplary, kind and generous individual who always put others before himself. His charismatic charm combined with a generous spirit earned him widespread respect in his community.
He had a passion for adventure and the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, teaching him how to appreciate nature’s abundance.
His family cherished him and will miss his great sense of humor and generosity. Surviving are his wife, Sonia Knudsen; sister Sharron Anderson (Roy); daughter Wendi Hedricks (Mark), son Jason, Chad; daughter Nikki; as well as grandchildren Parker, Camryn, Hanna, Haley, Bailee Ridge Jagger Grady MiKayla Aleea Jayce.
His ancestors include Samuel Kincart, who owned much of Carlisle and donated the land for courthouse square. His father served as county assessor for many years and then passed away in 1813 after inheriting a 200 acre farm.
