Marin Kukoc
Marin Kukoc is the son of Toni Kukoc, an NBA veteran. Currently, he works as a special advisor for Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf.
Kukoc was part of three championship teams for the Bulls from 1996 to 1998 and also played with Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks.
Early Life and Education
Toni Kukoc has two children: Marin and Stela – both with an affinity for sports.
Marin started out his basketball career at Highland Park High School before enrolling at Penn. Additionally, he is part of Croatian U19 national team and participated in U18 European Championship tournament.
Renata, his wife of 19 years and co-parent to their two children. Renata has been an invaluable support system throughout his NBA career and the couple currently reside in Chicago.
Professional Career
Kukoc was an incredible basketball player with exceptional passing abilities and strong outside shooting touch, both qualities which helped him excel as both small forward and power forward for Chicago Bulls in 1996, 1997, 1998 NBA finals as well as European Champions League runner up with Jugoplastika club of Serbia in 1992 and Coppa Italia league champion with Benetton Treviso team in 1993. He won several championships along the way – winning several with each franchise before moving onto other ones like Jugoplastika club where he won his European Champions League victory with Jugoplastika before winning both titles with Benetton Treviso in 1993 as he won several championships with them both clubs; these included three NBA finals victories with Benetton Treviso in 1993 while winning Coppa Italia league crown with Benetton Treviso.
He was an instrumental member of both of the Bulls’ championship teams from 1995-96 and 1997-98 in Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen’s absence, providing exceptional rebounding ability as well as stellar defense play.
He and Renata have two children together: Marin and Stela. He currently resides in Highland Park, Illinois with both Marin and Stela attending high school together before leaving to college volleyball at Miami University Oxford Ohio where she excelled and gained respect amongst her peers.

Kukoc was known for his versatility and passing ability; averaging at least four assists per game throughout his NBA career. Additionally, he boasted exceptional court vision and outside shooting touch for someone of his height – two qualities uncommon among other players of that height. Alongside Vassilis Spanoulis (with whom he shared this distinction), Kukoc earned three EuroLeague Final Four MVP awards – three awards that stand the test of time!
Marin Kukoc, Kukoc’s son, played for Highland Park High School before moving on to play for Penn’s men’s basketball team. He learned much from his father while on the court, and hopes that their partnership continues to bear fruit on it.
Stela Kukoc, daughter of Kukoc and Stefka Ivanovna is an ex-Miami University player turned American volleyball trainer. However, she appears to be very private about her life online; not much information has been revealed regarding it online.
Personal Life
Kukoc was part of the junior Yugoslav national team which won the 1987 FIBA Under-19 World Cup and also took part in senior tournaments such as 1990 and 1991 EuroBasket tournaments as an MVP player.
Kukoc joined the Bulls in 1990 and initially served as a starting player; however, with Michael Jordan’s return and Dennis Rodman joining them for 1993-94 season and becoming part of their roster as starters respectively; Kukoc began coming off the bench. Although initially not pleased, this transition eventually became something he came to accept and enjoy.
Kukoc is married to Renata and shares two children, Stela and Marin, living together in Highland Park, Illinois. While Renata enjoys participating in social media discussions and sharing personal photos on her account, her husband prefers keeping his private life out of sight.
