Stern specializes in complex commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense, and serves as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University School of Law. Stern is also a Certified Public Manager who has taken advantage of opportunities to further his education, having completed the CPM program at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Lead NJ program and Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration Executive Master of Public Administration program (SPAA).

Stern is currently a partner at Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP and specializes in complex commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense, representing numerous high-profile clients with products liability claims, multidistrict litigation matters and private international law concerns.

His career began at the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he served as a supervisory special agent. Notable accomplishments at both institutions included assistance to their WMD Directorates as well as founding of CBRN/Explosives subdirectorates at both places.

Freedom Communications, which operates numerous daily and weekly newspapers in New Jersey, counts him among its board members. Furthermore, he serves as president of the Certified Public Manager Society of New Jersey as well as being a member of both International City/County Management Association and American Bar Association. Lastly, he lives with his wife in Verona.
