New 3ds Xl Sd Card Slot
How to Use the New 3DS XL SD Card Slot
Once you have installed your new 3DS XL SD card, the first thing to do is to mount your old card. Make sure that you have enough space on the new card, and then you can delete your old card. After the card has been mounted, you’ll need to initialise it.
After you’ve done this, you can copy the data from the SD card to your computer. To do this, press Ctrl+A on your PC or Command+A on your Mac. Next, select the data that you want to transfer, then press Ctrl+C or Ctrl+V on your computer. When you’re finished, you’ll be ready to use your new 3DS.
If you’ve purchased a New 3DS XL, you’ll need a MicroSD card to play your new games. The older models will use regular SD cards, but you’ll need a MicroSDHC card for the New 3DS XL.
The New 3DS XL ships with a 4GB microSD card, but it can also support up to 32GB microSDHC cards. However, the SD card slot is not accessible from the front of the console. The port is hidden underneath a thin plastic shell and is held in place by two tiny screws.
The plastic cover on the New 3DS XL has grooves next to the screws. To remove the plastic cover, wedge the stylus into the groove and then lift the plastic cover. You can also use your index and middle fingers to remove the plastic cover. Be sure to apply equal force with both fingers. Once you’ve done this, slide the plastic cover down and away from the 3DS. You should notice two washers on each screw.
While the New Nintendo 3DS is slimmer than its predecessor, it is still lacking in battery life. The system will need to be recharged constantly, and the battery life is less than five and a half hours. The XL, on the other hand, offers slightly longer battery life.
The new 3DS XL SD card slot allows you to expand the system’s memory. It can accommodate SD and SDHC memory cards up to 32GB, but no fast-transfer UHS-type memory cards. There are other types of memory cards that can be used in the 3DS.
