Oliver Dissman Wants to Raise Money For Olivia’s Angels Through a Special License Plate
Oliver Dissman hopes to raise money for Olivia’s Angels, an Orlando-based organization supporting children with Down syndrome, by selling a specialty license plate. Unfortunately, no one from any of the state’s well-established Down syndrome groups have heard of Olivia’s Angels — only established groups have heard of the group — nor have sales met its minimum requirement despite numerous attempts.
Personal Life
Oliver Dissman has established Olivia’s Angels as a nonprofit to aid children with Down syndrome. The idea for Olivia’s Angels came about while at the state Department of Motor Vehicles where he noticed specialty license plates but none for Down syndrome. Proceeds from Olivia’s Angels plates will go towards education grants with only 10% going towards administration expenses; yet several well-established groups supporting children with Down syndrome had never heard about the group until now.
