Scott Cabana

Cabana is a startup that rents out luxury camper vans equipped with beds and bathrooms. Its founder, Scott Kubly, has also been a Chief Programs Officer at Lime and the Director of Seattle Department of Transportation.

Colton competed regularly for Steel Domain Wrestling in Minnesota, and toured Europe with 1PW in 2004, fighting often alongside Darren Burridge as Team SHAG.

Early Life and Education

He graduated from Western Michigan University in 2002 with a degree in business marketing. After his graduation, he began wrestling school.

He wrestled for a variety of independent and regional promotions. He was also part of the short-lived wrestling series Wrestling Society X on MTV in late 2006. Cabana competed under the ring name Matt Classic as an old-school wrestler with a gimmick reminiscent of the wrestling styles of the 1950s and 1960s.

He also authored the book ‘Death at Midnight’ in which he recounted his experiences as a prison warden overseeing executions at Parchman State Prison in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The experiences transformed him into an eloquent opponent of the death penalty. He also taught criminal justice at the University of Southern Mississippi. He is an advisor for several bicycle companies including CivStart, curbFlow, and Miles.

Professional Career

Scott Colton is an American professional wrestler and color commentator who currently works for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Colt Cabana. He is also a former one-time RevPro British Heavyweight Champion and two-time NWA National Champion, as well as a one-time JCW World Champion.

In 2000, Colton began wrestling in the Midwest. He performed regularly in St. Paul, Minnesota for Steel Domain Wrestling and also wrestled as the masked Matt Classic in Wrestling Society X and Chikara.

In 2007, he became the OVW Southern Tag Team Champion with partner Shawn Spears. He twice came close to winning the OVW Television title but lost out on TV time-limit expiration. In late 2007 he was moved to FCW when it replaced OVW as WWE’s developmental territory.

During his time in 1PW, Cabana won several European Rounds style matches and the 2004 Match of the Year in a match against British journeyman James Storm. He also teamed with Darren Burridge as Team SHAG, winning the 1PW Tag Team Championship.

In 2007, Colton signed with WWE, wrestling under the ring name Colt Cabana in their developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). He quickly became a mainstay in the OVW television roster and was a one-time OVW Television Champion.

During the post-show media scrum after AEW All Out, CM Punk went into great detail about his issues with Colt Cabana and Hangman Adam Page. Cabana later responded to the ad-libs by telling Punk to “f— off”. He is an advisor for CivStart, curbFlow and Miles.

He was involved in a car accident in 2006, but escaped with only bruises.
