Steve was an energetic individual with diverse interests who was always keen to experiment. He dabbled with various occupations ranging from candle making to working at the garden center.
Eileen Ryan, mother to Sean Penn and Christopher Penn of Broadway fame, died last night at 95. Born Oct 16 1927 in New York City.
Early Life and Education
Steven Annucci is an American politician and attorney. Currently serving as Executive Deputy Commissioner for the New York State Department of Corrections he also acts as liaison between their agency and New York City Council as well as State Legislature – offering regular lectures about prison operations and laws.
He is a member of both the American Correctional Association and Association of State Correctional Administrators, and in 2022 was recognized by Correctional Leaders Association for Excellence in Public Service.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Korrie Conforte; two sons Stephen and Jack Annucci; daughters Ashley-Lyn and Aubree Elizabeth; two sisters Debra Ueblacker and Tina Vito; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will take place Friday from 4-7 pm at West Haven Funeral Home.
Professional Career
Annucci is well-recognized in New York’s prison system as an expert and knowledgeable source. With his bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in criminal justice degrees and impressive lawyering background, Annucci stands as an authority.
He has worked at the State Corrections Department for decades and was appointed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo to his current role. In this capacity, he has spoken publicly on prison policy matters and belongs to the Association of State Correctional Administrators.
Teri-Lyn Waterhouse remains his soulmate; daughters Ashley-Lyn and Aubree Elizabeth (expected daughter); brother- and sister-in-laws Tina Vito, Gary Johnson and Edward Waterhouse as well as loving aunts, uncles and cousins remain. Eugene Ueblacker predeceased him while Debra Annucci raised him during his upbringing in West Haven CT. He was born in Island Park New York.
Achievement and Honors
His writing has appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies, and is the author of two poetry chapbooks from Parallel Press – Luck (published by Parallel Press) and Waiting Room (winner of 2012 Sunken Garden Poetry Prize). Additionally, he serves as co-editor of Kitchen Table MFA blog to showcase writing communities.
He leaves behind his soulmate Korrie Conforte; children Ashley-Lyn and Aubree Elizabeth; brother Dominic Annucci of West Haven and sister Nicole (Dan) Ghirardi Ghirardi from NY as well as mother Debra Ueblacker Annucci as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Personal Life
Steven Annucci was the husband of Korrie Conforte Annucci and father to Stephen and Jack Annucci. Additionally, he leaves behind several siblings, in-laws, aunts and nephews he loved dearly. A visitation will take place Friday from 4-7 p.m. at West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.
He was a long-term resident of Orange, CT, actively involved with numerous community organizations such as the Orange Planning and Zoning Commission, Orange Hospital, Milford Rotary Club and Free Masonry.
He sustained a leg injury at work in 2011 while traveling to a hospital, yet Metro-North supervisor Prena Beliveau advised him against filing any reports about it because reporting leads to workers receiving written up and no promotions in return. When he decided to report, however, he was punished by the company for doing so.
