Survivor Cole And Jessica

Survivor Castaways – Jessica Johnston and Cole Medders

Jessica Johnston and Cole Medders are the first two castaways voted out of this week’s merged tribe. Despite being one of the strongest showmances in the game, their relationship was not enough to save them from being thrown off the island.

After being the lone vote against Chrissy Hofbeck, Jessica was the first to be sent packing from the newly merged Yawa Five Alliance on this week’s episode of Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. She and Cole became a target of the Healers because she was not only close with the show’s most popular castaway, but also because she seemed like she knew what she was doing out there on the island.

As the newly merged Healers Tribe began to debate whether or not to blindside Joe Mena, they also decided to eliminate Jessica. This was because they felt she and Cole were too closely bonded to be able to compete on their own. Besides, they had been in a showmance that was so tight that they were unable to hide their relationship from each other.

But before the votes were cast, Jessica called into EW Morning Live (Entertainment Weekly Radio, SiriusXM) and defended her behavior around camp, explaining that she did not want to hurt anyone’s feelings. And she admitted that even after she was voted out, she still wanted to play the game with Cole.

On the upcoming episode, we’ll learn that Jessica and Cole are still a couple in real life, and that they may be planning a reunion after their elimination. Watch the full interview below to get the scoop on their story, and check out all of our interviews with Survivor castaways on EW’s podcasts!

Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano

The show’s first couple of choice from Survivor: Cook Island, Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano, were another couple that got it right from the start. The duo met in Samoa and formed a solid bond with each other, which allowed them to overcome some of the toughest challenges on the island.

Their romance didn’t last long, but it was a sweet one. The pair married after Survivor and went on to have four children together. They even welcomed their second son into the world on a trip to Thailand!

Jenna Morasca and Ethan Zohn

When we first met Jenna and Ethan on Survivor: Amazon, they had already formed a friendship that made them strong enough to fight together through the show’s most difficult moments. When Jenna got a diagnosis for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Ethan made sure to stay by her side and support her through the entire process.

They ended up forming an unlikely alliance that took them far in the game, but they ultimately lost the challenge because of their selfishness. To this day, they remain a memorable showmance for the tough times they faced and the fun they had together.

Jerri Manthey and Coach Wade

The Villains Tribe’s mates, Coach Wade and Jerri Manthey, started off their season with a whirlwind of flirting between the two. It was enough to cause a stir on Day 1 and the two were questioned by their fellow castaways as to whether or not they were getting into a showmance.
