Meridian Braves Receiver Tevarrius Adams

Meridian junior Tevarrius Adams was one of the standout performers last week when leading his Braves to their 44-0 victory against George County. Adams scored five touchdowns and added three rushing scores.

Adams will follow in Tre Lawrence’s footsteps this season as Alcorn looks for their replacement on offense – who earned a Walter Payton Award Watch List spot and was then recognized with SWAC Offensive Player of the Year honors. Adams could play significant minutes for Alcorn this season.

Early Life and Education

Adams was born in Braintree, Massachusetts to Samuel “Deacon” Adams who led the Puritan community as well as being an influential merchant. Samuel “Deacon” Adams served as both leader and merchant.

At 14, he entered Harvard where he studied politics and history.

As part of his studies, he became intrigued with law and decided he wanted to become one. Following graduation, he moved to Worcester to study legal studies.

On the field, his consistent play has made him one of the league’s more reliable performers; earning numerous awards and recognition including induction into their Hall of Fame.

Tevarrius Adams is a three-star dual threat quarterback honored with Rivals Top 50 State of Mississippi honors and boasts offers from Southern Miss and Tulane universities. As a high school senior he amassed 4817 yards and 40 touchdowns through his throws.

Adams received third team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Track and Field honors as an exercise science major with a 3.75 GPA.

Adams became eligible for this honor after earning first team honors in District VII of the University Division. Adams has become an All-American in three consecutive years for Kennedy’s track and field programs; recently competing at NCAA West Preliminary competition where he missed qualifying for national meet; additionally receiving scholarship offer from Montana State; hailing from Bozeman and graduating May 2018.
