New Disney+ show ‘Pistol’
‘Pistol’ is based on the memoirs of Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones, and will star Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Harry Styles, and Maisie Williams. It will also feature Sydney Chandler as Chrissy Hynde.
Sex Pistols were a band that made a huge impact in the 70s, and changed the face of rock ‘n’ roll. Their music was discordant and they were known for their head-turning alt-fashion. But they exploded and burnt out three years later.
Pistol focuses on three years of the band’s life, from their formation to their demise. It also explores the Never Mind the Bollocks controversy.
The show was written by Australian screenwriter Craig Pearce, who also directed the film. It will be produced by FX Productions. Tracey Seaward is an executive producer, along with Anita Camarata and Danny Boyle.
