Early Life and Education

Thomas Livengood graduated from Franklin County High School and went on to receive his degree in health, fitness, and teaching from University of Southern Indiana in 1998. Since then he has enjoyed working out, hiking, canoeing and traveling with his wife while simultaneously helping people realize their goals through his job at National Institute for Fitness & Sport Indianapolis Indiana (NIFS).

He enjoys reading, playing guitar and listening to music in his free time; spending quality time with Sophie and Jade his dogs; being an avid follower of Nashville Predators games as well as Kentucky Derby events he is an avid follower.

His private life entails Serenity Jean Livengood and Christian Blake; both his mother and father reside in Lexington.

She has distinguished herself with an extensive operatic career that spans numerous roles at both the Metropolitan Opera under James Levine, as well as featured recitalist at New York’s Carnegie Hall and at top venues like Kennedy Center and Smithsonian Institute.

At Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, she serves as a regular judge. Furthermore, she runs an active teaching studio for professional voice students as well as young amateurs alike. Her degree was received from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill while Boston Conservatory granted her her Master of Music degree.

She leaves behind her husband, John; daughter Skylar; and son Gabe as well as many relatives and friends who mourn her loss.

Livengood was best-known as the head coach of UNLV Rebel Athletics for increasing student-athlete graduation rates and expanding program awareness both locally and nationally. Eric earned both his undergraduate degree from Adrian College in Michigan and master of divinity degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He currently resides in Wallace, Fountain County Indiana with his wife Zora Iva Conner. Together they are raising their three children and six grandchildren. He has been an active member of Myers Lutheran Church near Wallace for more than 59 years.

Thomas Livengood had two known children. On September 24, 1894 at age 25 in Texas he married Margaret E Livengood (nee Teas).

Bety Livengood and Viola Archer may have been his relatives; he died on the month day in his place of death.

He was one of the pioneers of Fountain County, Indiana, and played an active role in public life – serving as trustee and assessor. A man of strong principles and religious conviction, Livengood had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances; was an avid Christian Church member; fathered numerous children (including Reverend John P Livengood); was a keen businessman; as well as being faithful and loyal servant to both God and Country.
