Thomas Vannatta
Thomas Vannatta was born and educated at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School. He is survived by his mother, three sons and various family members.
Vannatta was found to be J.C.K’s biological father by the trial court and ordered to pay prospective and retroactive child support, prenatal and postnatal health care expenses, attorney fees and attorney’s fees. On appeal, seventeen issues are presented by Vannatta for review.
Early Life and Education
Thomas Vannatta was a native of the United States. He attended First Baptist Church of Collinsville, TX where he served on its Board of Education and as deacon. Additionally, as an engineer he contributed equipment that went into space on Apollo and Mercury missions.
He attended Orchard School through eighth grade and later graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory High School before transferring to Shawnee State University to study sports management and gain his degree.
He had two siblings and was close to both. He was very involved in his community, volunteering at a nearby park and participating in Boys Scouts of America activities. Furthermore, he was an exceptional father and husband.

He has over three decades of experience working in construction, specifically the concrete and asphalt sectors. Achievement and Honors
Vannatta has achieved great academic and community service success. His project on Nipah virus led to publication in a top journal and earned him recognition at an Outstanding FAME Student ceremony at Ayers Campus. Furthermore, while studying he worked at Kronospan earning both income and valuable job experience.
He led his team to unprecedented victories against Lincoln Memorial, North Greenville, Assumption and Flagler and established himself as one of the program’s all-time leading scorers.
Hannah Booth, Madison Armstrong and Heather Young earned recognition at the Fourth Annual ASWSU Faculty Staff Appreciation Awards, while Honors College faculty member Annie Lampman’s essay was nominated for a 2023 Pushcart Prize nomination.

Additionally, his family and friends enjoy his friendship; in his free time he enjoys watching sports events while traveling the globe.
